Impact of Jailbreak on Correctional Education in Nigeria

This study examines the negative impact of jailbreak on correction education in Nigeria. The study analyzes the current state of prison education in Nigeria and how it has been affected by instances of jailbreak. Secondary data were used in the paper. The secondary data were collected from print and online publications. The paper concluded that showed that jailbreak has a significant negative correction education in Nigeria. The result revealed specifically, jail break in Nigerian correctional centres have led to psychological problems for students and instructors, disruption of academic programme and destruction of school infrastructure facilities. Based on this findings, the paper recommends that implementation of better security measures and stricter policies can help prevent future jailbreaks and create a safer and more conducive environment for learning within the prison system. It is essential to prioritize the well-being and development of inmates through effective and sustainable programmes, despite the challenges posed by jailbreaks.
