Abstract

The article deals with national folk games play a crucial role in the cultural and educational landscape of ethnic communities, contributing significantly to the promotion of ethnic sports. This study examines the educational value of these traditional games, emphasizing their role in fostering a sense of identity, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting physical fitness. By analyzing various national folk games, their rules, and their integration into modern educational practices, the study highlights how these games can serve as effective tools in shaping students’ cognitive, social, and physical development. The article also examines how national folk games encourage teamwork, discipline, and respect for tradition, thereby strengthening social bonds within communities. Furthermore, it demonstrates the potential of incorporating these games into physical education curricula as a means of introducing students to the rich diversity of ethnic sports. The study concludes that the systematic promotion of national folk games in schools and wider society not only enhances physical activity but also nurtures cultural awareness and pride, contributing to the overall development of well-rounded individuals.
