Abstract

This article delves into the theoretical exploration of gender issues in linguistics, tracing the emergence and development of "linguistic genderology" as a distinct subfield. From its origins in Western scholarship to its establishment in Uzbek linguistics, the study examines the progression of gender-focused linguistic research across historical and modern paradigms. Key phases of development, including early symbolic interpretations, gendered communication styles, and interdisciplinary approaches, are discussed.
