The sample size for the study was 270 teachers but 269 teachers returned their questionnaire. To obtain the sample size 18 schools were selected by stratified random sampling of all the schools in the six area councils within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja on the basis of three schools per Area Council. The subjects of the study were chosen by simple random sampling of each of the selected secondary schools on the basis of 15 teachers per school. The instrument for the study was a two researcher’s structured questionnaire titled: “Principals’ Supervisory Techniques Questionnaire” (PSTQ) and “Teachers’ Job Performance Questionnaire” (TJPQ). Two statistical methods were employed in the data analysis: the mean score and the standard deviation (SD) which were used to answer the research questions. The findings of the study reveal that principals in public senior secondary schools in the FCT, Abuja adopt various supervisory techniques in managing their schools. However, it is recommended among others that principals in public senior secondary schools in the FCT, Abuja should continuously employ and adopt various supervisory techniques so as to enhance teachers’ positive job performance
