Developing Lexical Competence of Secondary School Pupils in the Digital Environment: Pedagogical Foundations and Challenges

Lexical competence plays a vital role in learners' communicative abilities and overall language proficiency. With the increasing integration of digital technologies in education, there is a growing need to understand how digital environments can enhance vocabulary development among secondary school pupils. This article presents the author’s reflections and practical observations on the conceptual and pedagogical issues related to digital vocabulary instruction. Drawing on selected theoretical principles, it offers a teacher-informed perspective on balancing digital innovation with methodological integrity.
