Abstract

The differences in articulation, manner, and acoustics of sounds in speech may lead to various pronunciation difficulties, and their similarity can cause confusion in communication. In such cases, the compatibility and adaptability of speech sounds may be lost. M. Mirtajiyev, in his book "Phonetics of the Uzbek Language," explains 24 types of phonetic phenomena. This article will present these phenomena based on M. Mirtajiyev's classification.
