Assessment and instruction are seen to be strongly associated in all academic contexts. To make decisions regarding students' language proficiency, placement in suitable levels, and academic performance, educators and administrators require assessment. The significance and advantages of alternative evaluation in teaching English as a foreign language are examined in this article.
