Abstract

This scholarly article provides a comprehensive analysis of the life and work of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, one of the prominent figures of 15th–16th century classical literature. The study focuses on his autobiographical work Baburnama, exploring his religious and secular views, personal challenges, family issues, and the political processes of his era. Furthermore, Babur’s role in governance, his approach to socio-political reforms, and his style of recording historical events are examined in detail. The article also highlights the value of Baburnama not only as a historical source but also as a repository of moral, philosophical, educational, and social ideas that reflect the cultural and spiritual life of the time. The research evaluates Babur’s literary heritage, narrative style, and personal observations as a reflection of the historical reality of his age. Additionally, it assesses his role in preserving concrete historical facts of his time through written literature.
