Abstract

This article examines the concept and nature of reflective competence as a key component of professional teaching. Reflective competence is defined as teachers’ ability to critically analyze their teaching practice, evaluate its effectiveness, and adapt their strategies to improve student outcomes. The article examines the structure of reflective competence, including its cognitive, emotional, and behavioral components, and highlights the role of reflection in facilitating teachers’ professional growth and development. By integrating theoretical ideas with practical implications, this article highlights the importance of reflective competence in enhancing teaching effectiveness and promoting lifelong learning among teachers.
